Ritec Celebrates a Special Week
The recent G09 regional event at Wembley saw the start of a very special week for Ritec International when the company scored a hat trick with its ClearShield durable glass surface protection system...
In a week to remember, Ritec was named Glass Company of the Year at the G09 Awards, kicked off the international market relaunch of the ClearShield System, and picked up a prize in the Enfield Innovators Competition.
Ritec was honoured and delighted to be selected as Glass Company of the Year, one of the top prizes of the glass and glazing industry, at this year’s G09 Awards. MD Stephen Byers says: “Clearly Ritec is not a glass manufacturer or fabricator, but is recognised as part of a special category of glass processors with factory applied treatments or coatings such as energy efficiency, non-reflective and solar control. “The major difference - and advantage - of ClearShield,” he says, “is that it’s not limited to factory application at Ritec’s own centres or in our customers’ facilities as it can also be applied to existing glass on site.”

This exceptional week also marked the start of the international market re-launch of ClearShield – the first and still the only durable glass surface protection system. Stephen Byers says Ritec chose the G09 Exhibition at Wembley Stadium because it offered the unique combination of a glass exhibition, the G09 Awards ceremony and the Glass and Glazing Federation Annual Forum. The re-launch is focusing on new and innovative developments in the ClearShield System such as ways of reducing energy costs, maintaining the original light transmission of glass and achieving anti-microbial performance. It will also highlight a range options for creating tailor-made sales and marketing packages to assist glass and glazing companies achieve higher sales and improve profits by becoming a ClearShield Licensed Applicator.
